GREEN ROOF ECOLOGY
Through a series of prototypes and extensive participatory research, this two-year-long project strengthened ecosystem services on the greenroof at Vice Media’s Brooklyn headquarters.
In partnership with Brooklyn Grange, biodiversity was monitored on-site at Vice HQ to quantify their greenroof’s effectiveness in providing habitat for urban wildlife.
Undergraduate students were afforded the opportunity to coordinate with practitioners, conduct field research, and install design interventions on-site and by the end of the semester.
